Happy Thursday!
We hope your day's going well so far. Here in the home office in Charleston, the windows are open and the squirrels are partying. No hurricanes!
In today's
WFH update, if you're looking for something in social media engagement with a customer service twist, this part-time contract job might suit. (Not hiring from CA, CO, NY and WA.) Moderation experience a plus, but not required. No educational requirement mentioned. Estimated pay $18+/hr. based on reviews, but that's not official. For more, click here and scroll down.
I Got Hired! Please join us in congratulating Sean M. He wrote us on Monday (excerpted),
“I’m writing with great excitement to tell you I
was hired with Brivo thanks to your wonderful website! Keep up the amazing work, and thanks for posting so many great remote opportunities with wonderful companies!"
Congratulations Sean! And thanks from the team for the pats on the back! We hope you love your new job! If you’ve got an “I Got Hired” story, write us at success@ratracerebellion.com. If you don’t yet, may the hiring gods smile on you soon!
Beware another WFH scam making the text rounds - This one's easy to spot because it doesn't mention any job details or the company. It also asks for a reply via text, not even a WhatsApp number. Three big red flags right there. Up to $3,000 a day for one hour's work.
(What, cartel lawyer?) Probably another bot. Delete.
Massive Scam Compound Goes Dark - Speaking of online scams, Thailand just cut the power to a huge scam compound on its border with Myanmar. Many of the people working there are virtually enslaved, lured on the promise of legitimate jobs and held against their will. Beatings and torture, armed guards... Of course, diesel generators and other
workarounds put them back online. But at least it draws attention to the problem... More in the media here.
