Chris, and her brother as well, recently discovered unclaimed money due them via their state's Treasurer's Office. Each state maintains free lists of unclaimed funds -- money from old bank accounts, wages, insurance benefits, security deposits, stock dividends, etc. Sounds like a scam -- the topic often is -- but this is legit.
